Bahrain appoints first ambassador to Israel

SANAA, March 30 (YPA) – Bahrain announced on Tuesday, appointing of Khalid Yousef al-Jamah, as a president of the Bahrain diplomatic mission in Israel.

This diplomatic representation comes after the rural agreement signed by Bahrain with the arrival of the Bahrain in the mid-September 2020.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Israel “Achknazi” welcomed by Burdon’s decision and thanked his Bahrain’s counterpart as well as the courage of the King of Bahrain and his leadership.

 

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent an official letter to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs requesting the approval of the designated ambassador, noting that the appointed ambassador has been the director of the Operations Department at the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2017 and held the position of Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States (2009-2013).

In the coming weeks, a team from Bahrain will arrive in Israel to set up the embassy
