Sanaa holds Hadi’s gov’t responsible for impacts of separatist telecommunications project in Aden

SANAA, May 28 (YPA) – The Cabinet on Monday held the resigned president Hadi’s government responsible for all impacts resulting from its collusion with the UAE occupation in the separatist telecommunications project in Aden province.

In its meeting held in Sanaa and chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, the cabinet discussed the impacts of the operation of the project implemented by the Chinese company Huawei in the province of Aden on the Yemeni telecommunications sector and its employees and the national security in general.

The cabinet listened to a preliminary report from Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology, Musafir Numair, about the implications of this aggressive separatist sabotage project.

The report said that information obtained by the ministry confirm the full and direct control of the UAE on the operating company of the project by using the marine cable (Aden-Djibouti).

The meeting examined, in the light of the report, a series of escalation steps in the face of this project, which violates Yemeni sovereignty.

The cabinet noted that such project seeks to undermine the national role of the telecommunications sector, which is still operating at the level of all provinces, including those under the occupation, in spite of the conditions of the aggression and siege.
