SANAA, Feb. 28 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor discussed on Saturday with the Resident Representative of the World Food Program (WFP), Laurent Bukera, the program’s activities in the targeted provinces and areas.
The meeting touched on the upcoming visit of the WFP Executive Director, David Beasley, to the Republic of Yemen during the coming period.
The Prime Minister praised the important role that the United Nations played, represented by its humanitarian side, in confronting the previous American administration’s decision to add Ansarullah to the so-called list of terrorism, which was directed against all Yemeni people.
Dr. bin Habtoor welcomed the upcoming second visit of the WFP Executive Director to Yemen, hoping that it would be a milestone for strengthening cooperation between Yemen and the program.
In turn, Bukera affirmed the program’s interest and keenness to continue its humanitarian activities in partnership with the National Salvation Government and contribute to reducing the aggravating suffering of the population.
