Zionist enemy targets Palestinian boats in Gaza Sea

SANAA, Feb. 9 (YPA) – The Zionist enemy forces targeted on Monday evening Palestinian fishermen’s boats in the open sea of Gaza, causing damage to boats.
The Union of Palestinian Fishermen’s Committees said, in a brief statement: “The occupation boats targeted the fishermen’s boats west of Gaza City, 6 nautical miles away, inflicting damage on the boats without any casualties.”

The enemy forces continue to target Palestinian fishermen on an almost daily basis, forcing some of them to leave the sea, and injuring and arresting a number of them.

The occupation government takes such decisions, as part of the restrictions imposed on the Gaza Strip, which has been besieged since 2006.

About 4 thousand Palestinian fishermen work in the fishing profession, in addition to 1500 workers associated with the profession of fishing, who support nearly 60 thousand people, most of whom have fallen below the poverty line due to the occupation measures against them, according to Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights.
