NCM expects cold weather in Sanaa, 6 other provinces

SANAA, Jan. 28 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) on Thursday expected that the effect of the cold weather would continue in the mountainous provinces and parts of the desert areas and inner plateaus during the next 24 hours.

The center forecasted, in its air bulletin, a slight rise in the minimum temperature at the beginning of next week, noting that the weather would be cold to very cold in the mountainous provinces, especially Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda and Dhalea and east of Mahweet province.

The weather would be cold in the high-altitude areas of Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa and Hadramout provinces, west of Jawf and Marib provinces, and in the desert areas during the night, morning and early morning hours, according to the center’s bulletin.

The Center called on citizens, especially the elderly, children, and sick people in these provinces to take the necessary precautions to prevent severe cold shocks.
