National team presents coalition’s violations in Hodeida on UN table

HODEIDA, Dec. 4 (YPA) – The head of the national team in the Redeployment Coordination Committee in Hodeida, Major General Ali Al-Mushki, presented on Friday the complete report of the Saudi-led coalition’s violations in Hodeida on UN table.

During his meeting with the head of the United Nations Mission in support of the Hodeida Agreement (UNMHA) Abhijit Guha, they discussed a number of issues related to the implementation of the Sweden agreement.

Al-Mushki reviewed the ongoing violations of the coalition forces in the western coast and on several district of Hodeida, including the continuous airstrikes by spy and warplanes, as well as the artillery and Katyusha attacks on the city of Hodeidah.

The national team stated that the violations resulted daily deaths and injuries of children and women and the destruction of citizens’ property.
The team also briefed the UN team about the stifling blockade imposed by the coalition forces on the port of Hodeida and preventing the entry of oil derivatives and foodstuffs ships as well as targeting fishermen.

Al-Mushki affirmed the commitment of the national team to cooperate with the United Nations team in implementing the Sweden agreement, noting that the first phase of redeployment in Salif and Ras Issa ports of Hodeida was carried out unilaterally, to show confidence and willingness by the national team.

He renewed the call for the other party to return to the dialogue table to implement the Sweden agreement and the redeployment according to the UN-sponsored plan agreed upon by all parties.
