Exchange shops closed in Taiz

TAIZ, Dec. 4 (YPA) – A number of companies and exchange shops under the control of Saudi-led coalition militants in Taiz city closed their doors in response to the call of the “Exchangers Association “.

The move came after a statement by the Association calling on all exchange companies in Aden and Taiz to close as a result of the rapid currency deterioration.

In its statement, the association confirmed that the closure of banking sector companies and institutions would continue until further notice.

The exchange rate of the Yemeni riyal against the US dollar, in the past hours, reached nearly 900 riyals, amid the failure of “Hadi government” to stop the deterioration, especially after the arrival of 11 containers earlier this week in the port of Mukalla, contain millions of money printed in Russia.
