FAO: Yemeni currency lost 250% of value

SANAA, Dec. 1 (YPA) – The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) said that the local currency in Yemen has lost 250% of its value over the past five years.

The FAO’s office in Yemen indicated in a statement that food prices reached the highest rate, rising by about 140%.
The office stressed that many rural and farm families are just struggling to avoid the food crisis.
