Al-Houthi calls on UN to implement JASTA against Saudi Arabia

SANAA, Nov. 23 (YPA) -Senior leader of Ansarullah, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, has on Sunday evening called on the UN to implement the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA), against Saudi Arabia.

The move came in a comment following two remarks by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that Washington was still considering putting Ansarullah on the “terror list.”

“I advise Trump and Pompeo to make progress in implementing the JASTA , if they care about the justice of the citizens who are victims,” al-Houthi tweeted.

Al-Houthi accused the current US administration of seeking to obtain funds in exchange for Saudi dictates, noting that “the US is fighting the Yemeni people and is truly straining them.”

The JASTA grants relatives of victims and survivors of the September 11, 2001 attacks the right to proceed with a lawsuit they filed nearly 10 years ago against Saudi Arabia for financing a terrorist group, before they were listed as terrorists.
