STC releases academic after 4 months of enforced disappearance

ADEN, Nov. 22 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias have released an academic man after four months of detention and enforced disappearance.

Human rights sources said that Al-A’asifah brigade forces released 47-year-old Dr. Abdullah Abdul Jabbar al-Qubati after he was arrested at the entrance to Aden four months ago while returning from the city of Seiyun,

Earlier, sources had reported that al-Qubati was transferred to prisons in the UAE, and the STC militias refused to disclose it.
According to the sources, al-Qubati was detained in al-Tawahi prison and was severely tortured by the UAE-backed militias, in a solitary cell of one half meter. He also banned from any contact or visit and prevented from medicine
