Explosion hits US-led coalition convoy in Iraq

SANAA, Sept. 22 (YPA) – A roadside bomb exploded on Monday evening near a convoy of trucks carrying equipment belonging to the US-led coalition forces in Salah ad Din province in the north of Baghdad, Iraq’s security media cell reported.

“A convoy transporting US-led international coalition equipment withdrawn from Iraq was hit by an explosive device, damaging one vehicle” the cell said in a statement.

The blast occurred in the area between Balad and Al-Dujail in Salah ad Din province, the statement said.

The statement gave no further details about the incident.
