Hajjah inaugurates first phase of planting 3,000 coffee seedlings

HAJJAH, Sept. 3 (YPA) – The first phase of planting 3,000 seedlings of coffee tree was inaugurated on Thursday in Aflah Al-Yemen district in Hajjah province.

At the inauguration, director the district Khaled al-Yazidi referred to the importance of coffee cultivation and its positive impact on the individual, society and the national economy, appreciating the role of farmers and their keenness to grow coffee.

In turn, Mohammed al-Afari, director of the agriculture office in the district, emphasized the importance of cultivating cash crops, fruits, grains and other crops of economic returns that contribute to achieving self-sufficiency.

Al-Afari called on farmers to exploit rainwater and make use of it in agriculture, especially coffee cultivation.
