Fuel amount entering via land ports does not cover 5% of needs: YPC

SANAA, July 12 (YPA) – The Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC)’s CEO Ammar al-Adhraei on Sunday said the amount of fuel is being entered through the land ports “does not cover 5 % of the needs in the liberated areas.”

“There is no alternative to the port of Hodeidah,” al-Adhraei added, in an interview with Al-Masirah TV Channel.

Saudi-led coalition forces are still holding 400,000 tons of fuel aboard vessels, despite obtaining UN permits, al-Adhraei explained.

He referred that 52 days have passed since the last oil ship entered the port of Hodeidah, except for two ships that were entered to alleviate the pressure on the coalition.
