HR Ministry condemns coalition’s crime in al-Subaha area

SANAA, June 11 (YPA) – The Ministry of Human Rights on Wednesday condemned Saudi-led coalition’s dropping of cluster bombs on al-Subaha neighborhood of Sanaa province, which injured five people of one family.

In a statement, the Ministry of Human Rights warned of the remnants of prohibited cluster bombs because of the danger it pose to the lives of citizens, especially women and children, as they approach it, or stumble upon them in any of the coming days and years.

The statement pointed out that the aggression coalition used thousands of cluster bombs in various governorates, which caused the killing or wounding of civilians, as many of the cluster munitions branching from the original bomb did not explode the moment they hit the ground, but spread over a wide area in the targeted area; It makes the citizens of that area a target of death and injury.

The statement affirmed that thousands of civilians, most of them children and women, were killed and wounded by the explosion of cluster bombs dropped by coalition aircraft in various governorates from March 2015 until today, and on Wednesday morning, a citizen was also severely wounded by the explosion of a cluster bomb in Bani-Sayah area of ​​Razih district.

The Ministry of Human Rights held the states of the aggression coalition led by America and Saudi Arabia and their mercenaries tools fully responsible for all crimes and violations committed against the Yemeni people since March 2015.

The Ministry renewed the call for the United Nations and the Security Council to work to stop the aggression and the systematic blockade and the formation of an independent and impartial international committee, ans to investigate the facts and all the massacres and crimes committed by the aggressor countries and their tools from the mercenaries and their use of the various internationally prohibited weapons.
