Education Ministry condemns crime of targeting Presidential Office

SANAA, May 8 (YPA) – The Ministry of Education condemned the Saudi-led coalition airstrikes’ crime,  which targeted the Presidential Office in Tahrir district of the capital Sanaa on Monday,  killed and wounded dozens of civilians, according to a statement obtained by Yemen Press Agency on Tuesday.

The Ministry considered this deliberate barbaric targeting of the Presidential Office, surrounded by houses of citizens, shops, schools and hospitals,  during the official working hours and during taking  students their final exams, as war crimes.

The statement stressed that this crime is a disgrace to the international community’s silence on the violations of the Saudi-led coaltion against Yemen, land and human that led to the largest humanitarian crisis in the world, by the United Nations admitting.

The statement called on international and regional organizations and peace-loving parties to exert efforts to stop the coalition war, lift the siege and condemn what the coalition committed of war crimes against the Yemeni people, because the ministry is despaired of any positive role of the United Nations in protecting civilians and stopping the aggression.
