Army forces control largest coalition camps on Yemeni-Saudi border

SANAA, April 6 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces and the popular committees on Monday managed to control al-Khanjar camp and several strategic military sites at the Yemeni-Saudi border, sources in Jawf province told Yemen Press Agency.

“The army and the popular committees fought fierce battles today, during which they were able to fully control the al-Khanjar camp and Buraq al-Sheraa, as well as several military sites in al-Yatama front in Khab Washaaf district in Jawf province,” the sources said.

On March 17, Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, the official spokesman for the Yemeni army, announced the cleansing of Jawf province, except for some desert areas, within the military operation “Amkan Minhom.”
