Military leaders belonging to al-Sabiha tribe released in Aden

ADEN, Feb. 24 (YPA) – The Saudi occupation forces released eight abductees, including prominent military leaders, in the southern port city of Aden on Monday evening, local sources told Yemen Press Agency on Monday.

According to the sources, mediation led by a leader in the Southern Transitional Council STC’s militias in the Al-Sabiha area, named Wadah Omar Saeed, succeeded in releasing eight military leaders belonging to the Al-Sabiha tribe, including the leader in the so-called Resistance of Sabiha Brigade, named Ahmed Mohammed al-Talebi, Major General Bejash Mohammed al-Aghbari, together with five of their companions, after being abducted by Saudi forces yesterday, from a hotel in the Sheikh Othman district.

The move came after tribal gunmen have kidnapped a military commander of the UAE-funded Giants Brigades, known as al-Amaliqa in the west coast and 13 other sons of Dhalea province and yafea  working in the Giants Brigades, near Mocha city, while were on their way to Aden.

The Al-Sabiha tribe gave Saudi forces 24 hours to release the military personal from their sons, after accusing them of establishing pro- Hadi government forces in Lahj and Aden.

On Sunday, the coalition  pushed battalions of armed militias into Khor al-Amira to confront and repress The Al-Sabiha tribe after it threatened the coalition to cut off the supply route of its armed men on the west coast.
