Parliament listens to PM’s letter, Higher Education Commission’s report

SANAA, Feb. 23 (YPA) – The Parliament listened in its meeting on Sunday, chaired by Speaker Yahya Ali al-Ra’i, to Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor’s letter delivered by Minister of State for Parliament and Shura Council Affairs Ali Abu Hulaiqa.

The Prime Minister’s letter included a request of attending each of Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs, the Minister of Finance and Acting Minister of Tourism to answer the question of members of the House Nageeb Ahmed al-Warqi and Ali Mohammed al-Zanam on the reasons for not approving the cost of the restoration of the Tourism Ministry’s building.

During its meeting, the Parliament also listened to the report of the Higher Education, Youth and Sports Committee regarding its follow up to the implementation of the Parliament’s recommendations issued on September 28, 2019 regarding the results of the committee’s field visit to Hodeidah University.

The Parliament postponed the discussion of this report to a future session in the presence of the relevant government side.
