Human Rights Minister briefs int’l orgs on Jawf massacre details

SANAA, Feb. 16 (YPA) – Minister of Human Rights Radhia Mohammed Abdullah on Sunday briefed representatives of international organizations on details of the massacre committed Saturday by Saudi-led coalition warplanes, which left dozens of dead and wounded, including women and children.

The meeting touched on the humanitarian situation in Yemen in light of coalition’s continual aggression, siege and economic war on the country.

In the meeting, the Human Rights Minister considered the coalition’s deliberated targeting of civilians a war crime that violates the rules and charters of the United Nations and international humanitarian law, demanding that an international committee should be formed to investigate this horrific crime and others committed by the aggression coalition over the past five years in Yemen.

The Minister called on international organizations to fulfill their duty towards civilians and to pressure the aggression countries to stop their aggression and lift the siege and embargo imposed on Yemen.
