Gunmen attack mosque in Lahj

LAHJ, Jan. 27 (YPA) – Gunmen on a motorcycle attacked on Monday a mosque in Tuban district of the occupied Lahj province, southern Yemen.

Eyewitnesses said that the gunmen threw a hand grenade at Al-Fyoush Mosque during a seminar after the dawn prayer aiming to assassinate the imam of the mosque Yasser al-Atawi, who survived the attack.

They added that the grenade exploded without causing casualties, except for big damage to the mosque.

The occupied southern provinces are witnessing an insecurity state in the presence of Saudi-led coalition forces, which support and finance assassinations crimes, according to security sources.
