Strange warnings directed to wealthy in Aden

ADEN, Jan. 6 (YPA) – Editor-in-chief of “Aden El-Ghad” newspaper Fathi bin Lazraq on Monday warned Aden’s merchants against exaggerating the luxurious appearances until the return of what he called “order and law.”

In a post on Facebook, bin Lazraq called on the merchants in the city of Aden to replace luxury villas with apartments of complexes, prevent their sons from riding luxury cars, and move by modest cars, in a sign of the existence of future blackmail schemes targeting the wealthy in the city.

Bin Lazraq’s warnings came after the killing of a son of a wealthy man from Shabwa province in Aden and looting his house by unidentified gunmen suspected of belonging to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council’s militia that control the city.
