UNICEF plane carrying vaccines arrives at Sanaa airport

SANAA, Dec. 5 (YPA) – A UNICEF cargo plane carrying vaccines for children arrived at Sanaa International Airport on Thursday.

 “The UNICEF provided  immunization vaccines for children under one year, which are used in all provinces of the country,” Taha al-Aqari, director of vaccines department at the immunization program said.

 The shipment includes 4,602,600 doses of oral paralysis vaccine and 614,000 doses of PCG vaccine for routine vaccination, he added

 He pointed out that the oral polio vaccine is specific to the polio campaign, which will be implemented by the Ministry of Health during the coming period for children under five years of age.
