SANAA, Dec. 3 (YPA) – A powerful explosion occurred Tuesday at the National Monument Square near the presidential palace in central Jakarta, leaving some injures, local media reported.
The blast occurred at 7:05 a.m. local time, causing damage to the site, the Jakarta Post reported.
A smoke bomb exploded at the national monument near the presidential palace in the center of the city, police chief Jakarta said.
At least two military officials were injured, he added.
He confirmed that the Indonesian President, Joko Widodo, was not in the palace at the time of the explosion.
