“Shabwani elite” militias kidnap northern citizens in Shabwa

SHABWA, Nov. 24 (YPA) – Militias of the so-called Shabwani elite of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council on Sunday morning abducted several of citizens from the northern provinces in Shabwa province while traveling to their provinces.

“Armed groups of the transitional council interrupted the way of travelers in al-Aram area of Habban district in Shabwa, and detained the people of the northern provinces after being forced to disembark from taxis,” residents said.

Media sources confirmed that the transitional council’s gunmen hold travelers from the northern provinces in remote areas after kidnapping them.

This comes after Islah Party’s militias in Shabwa launched a campaign of arrest of all those affiliated with the Shabwani elite during the past days.
