Islamic Jihad announces that ceasefire agreement with the occupation comes into effect

SANAA, Nov. 14 (YPA) – The spokesman of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, Musab al-Berim, announced that the ceasefire agreement came into effect, after the occupation bowed to the conditions of the Palestinian resistance led by Islamic Jihad.

According to “Palestine Today”, al-Berim explained in a press statement that the agreement of the ceasefire was based on the conditions stipulated by jihad  movement  on behalf of the resistance, which consisted of stopping the policy of assassinations, protecting demonstrators in the major return marches, and starting practically to implement measures to break Siege.

“The resistance said its word, countered the aggression, broke Netanyahu’s prestige, and defended our Palestinian people,” he said.

Islamic Jihad secretary-general Ziad al-Nakhala had confirmed that the Al-Quds Brigades were committed to fighting against the Israeli occupation as long as it continued its aggression, and we would strike all Israeli cities , as long as the terms put forward by the Islamic Jihad were rejected in order to reach a ceasefire agreement.

The commander declared that the conditions of the Islamic Jihad to reach a lull are three conditions: the cessation of assassinations in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, stop firing towards unarmed civilians in the return marches, that Israel abide by with the understandings made in Cairo in 2014 that concern breaking the siege of the Gaza Strip.
