FM renews Gov’t’s commitment to implement Sweden Agreement

SANAA, Oct. 16 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Wednesday renewed the National Salvation Government’s commitment to the implementation of Sweden Agreement, referring the unilateral steps taken in this regard for bringing peace to Yemen.

During his meeting with President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer, who is currently visiting Yemen, Sharaf discussed areas of cooperation between Yemen and the ICRC and ways of enhancing them.

The foreign minister reviewed the latest developments in the humanitarian situation resulting from the aggression and siege imposed by Saudi/Emirati-led coalition on the country for the fifth consecutive year.

At the meeting, Maurer expressed his appreciation for the existing cooperation between the ICRC and the concerned bodies, confirming that the Committee would spare no efforts to help the Yemeni people, especially in the difficult circumstances they are going through.
