Yemen’s revolutionary leader welcomes new UN envoy

SANAA, Jan 23 (YPA) – Chief of Yemen’s Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, on Tuesday welcomed newly-appointed UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths.

Al-Houthi wrote in his Twitter page that he hopes the new UN envoy to maintain neutrality and not to follow the steps of his predecessor Ould Sheikh Ahmed.

Griffiths is the third UN envoy to mediate between the parties of conflict in Yemen.
