Norwegian Council discusses issue of DPs in Yemen

SANAA, July 14 (YPA) – The head of the Civil Status and Civil Registry Authority, Major General Mohamed Al-Hakim, on Sunday met with Regional Adviser for the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and the Project Officer in Yemen, Evelyn Aero.

During the meeting, the officials discussed the cooperation between the Authority and the Council in providing adequate services to the displaced.

Al-Hakim thanked the Norwegian Council for its support for the Authority which plays a key role in serving the citizens in general and internally displaced persons “DPs” in particular, including providing them with legal, social and civil protection.
For her part, Aero valued the efforts of the Authority and its cooperation in providing services, expressing the hope of strengthening cooperation and partnership.
