SANAA, June 25 (YPA) – A seminar on the protection of national production from the harmful effects of international trade practices was held on Tuesday in the capital Sanaa.
The seminar, organized by the General Department of Foreign Trade Sector at the Ministry of Industry and Trade with participation of 35 participants representing the ministry and the concerned bodies, discussed working papers on mechanisms of protection of the national production.
At the opening of the seminar, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Mohammed al-Hashemi said that a number of specialized companies would be announced in the coming days.
Al-Hashemi noted that the ministry would work to activate the coordination council between the public and private sectors to achieve partnership and mobilize resources to activate the economy and development and overcome the effects of the aggression and siege.
He confirmed the interest of the state and government to protect national production and combat dumping and defend the interests of local producers, which requires great efforts and cooperation between the official bodies and the private sector.
