Deputy Foreign Minister: The Yemeni people have to open Sanaa airport in its own way

SANAA, June 10 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister in the National Salvation government Hussein al-Izzi vowed a painful and harsh public response to the coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates over their rejection of international appeals to lift the air ban on Sanaa International Airport.

“After the states of aggression rejected all attempts to open Sanaa International Airport for humanitarian cases, our oppressed people have to open it in its own way,” Hussein al-Izzi said on Twitter on Monday.

Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Izzi did not disclose the nature of the response. However, he said: “We hope that the international community will abide by the same silence that we see from them when the states of aggression commit the most heinous crimes against our people, and not dealing in double standards when the Yemeni people defend themselves as a legitimate right.”

The Saudi-led coalition forces continue to impose a complete air ban on the airports in all provinces that are not controlled by them topped by Sanaa International Airport for almost three years, causing the deaths of thousands of patients and wounded people whose medical condition need to go abroad and cannot afford to travel overland for 10 hours to Aden airport, which is Under the control of the Saudi-Emiratis occupation forces.
