Security commander loyal to exiled Hadi survived assassination attempt in Shabwah

SHABWAH, March 27 (YPA) – A security commander loyal to the exiled Abd Rabouh Mansour Hadi on Tuesday has survived assassination operation carried out by the so-called Shabwanian elite militias in centre of Ataq city, capital of Shabwah province, southeastern Yemen, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the sources, one of Shabwanian elite militias has crashed his car into a military pick up belonging to the so-called commander of the Special security forces in Shabwah, Major Ahmed Taleb al-Marzaqi, followed by clashes and exchange of gunfire.

The sources indicated that all the UEA-backed militias who were responsible for the incident had been arrested and their vehicles detained at Criminal Investigation Headquarters in the city of Ataq.
