Parliament listens to Shura’s letter on 30 candidates for SNACC membership

SANAA, Feb. 17 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament on Sunday listened to a letter from the Shura Council’s Speaker concerning the list of 30 candidates for membership of the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption (SNACC).

The letter indicated that the 30 candidates were selected from among 293 candidates, and the general list included 22 candidates, three candidates in the list of civil society organizations, two in the women list, and three in the private sector list.

In this regard, the parliament formed a committee headed by Deputy Speaker of the Parliament to study the candidates’ files and their statements and to report thereon to the parliament at a next meeting.
