Health Bureau: 670,000 children have been immunized against measles and rubella in Dhamar

DHAMAR, Feb. 13 (YPA) –General Director of the Health Bureau in Dhamar province confirmed that more than 670,000 children have been immunized against measles and rubella patients in all health facilities, schools and temporary sites within the 3 days of the campaign in the provincial directorates.

The children immunized are aged between 5 to 15 years exceeded 445, 902, in addition to the vaccination of 192,202 children between the ages of 12 and 59 months.

Over 43,238 children from the age of six months to 11 months were immunized, he said.

He also pointed out that the field teams continue their tasks during the period of 9 – 14, even achieving its goals by reaching all the targets.

Al-Hajji called on all parents and community leaders to react to the success of the immunization campaign and use the remaining days to push children and young people to fixed positions and mobile teams in their areas to obtain vaccine doses in order to protect their safety and protect them from deadly diseases Threaten their lives or disability.

He praised all efforts in the establishment of health units, stressing that the Health Bureau provides the health units with all medical devices and equipment available in order to serve the community.
