Iraqi resistance threatens to forcibly expel US troops

SANAA, Jan. 29 (YPA) – Head of the Iraqi ” Asaib ‘ahl al haq ” movement has threatened US forces in Iraq to use force if they do not voluntarily withdraw from the country.

According to the AP, the head of the movement, Qais Khazali, expected that the Iraqi parliament will vote in next month on Washington’s demand to withdraw its troops from the country.
Khazali stressed his threat that US troops could be forcibly expelled.

“There is no longer a ground for thousands of US military personnel to remain in Iraq after the defeat of the state organization,” he said, adding that “those forces may be forcibly expelled if they do not respond to the will of the Iraqi people.”

He added that any presence outside the scope would be a violation of the sovereignty of Parliament, the people and political factions, including ” Asaib ‘ahl al haq “and “We will not allow it.”
