Human Rights Minister meets HCHR representative in Yemen

SANAA, Jan. 28 (YPA) – Minister of Human Rights Alia Faisal Abdullatif on Monday discussed with Resident Representative of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (HCHR) in Yemen, Dr. al-Obaid Ahmad al-Obaid, the cooperation aspects between the Ministry and the Commission during the current year.

In the meeting, Abdullatif praised the efforts of the OHCHR in promoting human rights.

She stressed the need to work to end the violations and crimes against humanity affecting the Yemeni people and to stop the land, air and sea blockade.

Al-Obaid thanked the efforts of the Human Rights Ministry to facilitate the work of the HCHR office.
