Southern Revolutionary Council mocks Saudi Ambassador’s Remarks

ADEN, Jan. 28 (YPA) -The so-called Southern Revolutionary Movement Council has threatened Saudi Ambassador Mohammed al-Jaber in Aden, as a result of what they described as “his provocations” against the people of southern Provinces.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Revolutionary Movement Council denounced the remarks made by the Saudi ambassador, who had called for hold meetings for only Yemeni parliament members who are “loyal” to Saudi Arabia, in the southern city of Aden.

“These abhorrent calls are rejected and represent a blatant challenge to the blood and will of the people of the southern provinces, who reject Saudi dictates that target the southern issue,” the statement said.

The statement stressed that the city of Aden will not be an acceptable place for any members of the so-called Parliament of the exiled Hadi regime, and that free people from the south will not accept the orders of the Saudi kingdom.

The Revolutionary Movement Council mocked what it termed the absurd remarks of the Saudi ambassador, stressing on the fact that without the sacrifices of the sons of the southern provinces who fought on the Saudi side on the southern border of Saudi Arabia, Ansarullah’s fighters today would have taken control of Riyadh.

The Southerners also accused the Saudi ambassador of causing crises and bloodshed, as has happened in al-Mahrah province, where Saudi military intervention killed a number of civilian protesters who rejected Saudi intervention and ambitions in the province.

The statement called on the people of the southern provinces to address the reprehensible tendencies of Saudi Arabia, and to reject all orders that show excessive arrogance and blatant interference by the Saudi ambassador.
