President, FM discuss latest development towards UN-brokered Swede’s agreement

SANAA, Jan. 23 (YPA) – President Mahdi al-Mashat met on Wednesday with foreign minister Hisham Sharaf to discuss  the latest developments in the national and international arena towards the United Nations-brokered peace process in Hodeidah province.

At the meeting, al-Mashat was briefed by the minister on the ministry’s activity and its contacts with the international community and human rights organizations to break the diplomatic siege imposed by Saudi-led coalition on Yemen.

The president stressed on the importance of redoubling efforts to overcome difficulties challenges caused by the coalition and its siege.

The meeting reviewed the efforts of the ministry in providing facilities for the United Nations and its humanitarian organizations and officials interested in visiting Yemen during the coming period to brief on the humanitarian situation.
