Animals attack citizens’ homes in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Jan. 21 (YPA) – Groups of monkeys attacked homes of some citizens and sparked panic among residents in al-Ghail area in Yabuth district of Hadramout province on Monday.

Activists on social media networks circulated photos of a number of monkeys who invaded al-Ghail, causing moderate damage to the property and houses of citizens.

According to media sources, the monkeys have spoiled everything their hands reached in the area, including belongings and crops, and nobody stopped them.

Citizens expressed displeasure with the spread of these animals near their homes, because “they damage agricultural crops, scare women and children and upset the public tranquility,” as they put it.

They said that these gangs attack their homes and farms almost daily in the early morning and at noon.
