Ali Mohsen threatens to burn oil wells in Shabwa

SHABWA, Jan. 21 (YPA) – The military leader of the Islah Party Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar threatened to burn oil wells in Shabwa province.

Informed sources said that Ali Mohsen threatened in a meeting on  Sunday Marib province to burn oil wells in the province of Shabwa, if the militia of the so-called “Shabwa elite, funded by the occupation of the UAE would control it and imposed its protection on oil companies in various oil sectors.

Al-Ahmar explained that it is impossible for his forces to withdraw from the oil fields, even if the cost is to burn it, describing the sons of Shabwa as “bandits.”

Shabwa residents demand their share of oil revenues.

OMV, an Austrian company operating in the oil sector of S2 in Shabwa province stopped pumping and production of crude oil from the Oqla field on Sunday.

While the Ministry of Oil in the Government of exiled Hadi announced that the sabotage and armed clashes carried out by some parties outside the law, by intercepting and cutting the locomotives of the crude oil transport from Sector S2 Aqla to Sector 4 West Ayad in Shabwa, caused the cessation of crude oil production in Sector S2 mentality.
