Army repulses coalition militias attacks in various fonts over 24 hours: Military Media

SANAA, Jan. 17 (YPA) – The Yemeni army repelled attacks by the Saudi-led coalition and its militias in various combat fronts over the past 24 hours, leaving heavy casualties, the Military Media said in a statement on Thursday.

In border province of Jizan, the army foiled the coalition fighter jets-backed attack of the militias towards sites of al-Safia and al-Saiad and Qais mountain, killing and injuring  a number of the militias.

In Najran province, the army fired three missiles, Zilzal 1, at groups of the militias in site of al-Talah, al-Sudis and al-Buqa desert, killing and wounding dozens.

In Jawf province, the army repelled an attack of the militias towards Astar valley area in Khab Washaf district, inflicting heavy casualties.

The army also fired a missile, Zilzal 1, with artillery at gatherings of the militias in areas of al-Aqaba and Sabrain in Jawf, killing and injuring several the militias.

In Dhale province, several of the militias were killed and hurt in the army’s attack on sites in Damt area.

In Bayda province, the army broke the militias’ attack towards Thi Na’em district, killed and hurt a number of the militias.

In Hajjah province, the army fired artillery towards the militias’ military gatherings in the east of al-Nar mountain in Haradh district, killing and injuring a number of the militias.
