Clean campaign launched inside Sanaa airport

 SANAA, Jan. 2 (YPA) – Sana’a International Airport, security and civilian officials at the airport inaugurated on Tuesday a cleaning campaign for the aircraft anchorage..

In the inauguration, the children launched the courtyard of the aircraft anchorage white birds as an expression of peace and a message to the United Nations, civil society and the free world that the children of Yemen are demanding the lifting of the siege on Sanaa International Airport.

During the inauguration, the Director-General of Sana’a International Airport, Khaled Al-Shayef, pointed out that the aim of the clean-up campaign is to convey for the world that Sana’a International Airport is fully prepared to receive all civilian flights.

Al-Shayef pointed out that under the direction of the Minister of Transport Zakaria al-Shami, all employees of Sana’a International Airport went out to launch a clean-up campaign for the marina.

He called on the United Nations, the community and international and human rights organizations to quickly open Sana’a International Airport as the airport is ready to operate and to receive all civil, commercial and humanitarian flights.

Sanaa International Airport serves 80 per cent of the population of the Republic of Yemen. The closure of the Sanaa International Airport has caused a major humanitarian disaster, a tragedy unprecedented in history.

He pointed out that the cleanliness campaign at the airport coincided with the campaign organized by the secretariat of the capital to show the capital of the Republic of Yemen in a decent and honorable appearance for all Yemenis.
