Military, security officers hold protest in Aden

ADEN, Dec. 31 (YPA) – A number of military and security officers and owners of land given to armed forces personnel in 1990 on Monday staged a protest in front of house of interior minister in exiled Hadi’s government in Aden city, southern Yemen.

The military protesters, who have held official ownership contracts of their land in Block-1 located in Bir Fadl area since 1990, demanded Hadi’s authorities to arrest an influential figure who looted their lands and restore their property.

The move came after a similar protesting vigil carried out by the officers and owners of those lands in front of headquarters of Aden Security Administration loyal to the UAE occupation.

The security forces stopped the construction works in the area two years ago, and arrested one of influential persons, but the owners of land did not get their right.
