2,000 refugees return to Syria from abroad over past 24 hours

SANAA, Dec. 26 (YPA) – Russian Centre for Refugee Reception, Distribution and Settlement has reported the return of 2,000 Syrian refugees to their country in the past 24 hours.

In a statement issued by the center on Wednesday, the center said that “During the past  24 hours,  at least 2000 refugees returned to Syria, including 1,134 people, 340 women and 579 children, from Lebanon through the New Jav Bus” and “Talkalakh” crossings

Over 866 people from Jordan through the “Nasib” crossing, including 260 women and 422 children, the statement read.

The total number of people who have returned to Syria from foreign countries since July 18 has reached 76948, the Russian center said.
