CNN: Senior figures in Riyadh briefed on Khashoggi’s murder

SANAA, Dec. 10 (YPA) – CNN reported that a US source familiar with the translation of the audio recording of the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi details of the last minutes of his murder.

It includes evidence of telephone conversations with high-ranking figures in Riyadh to inform her about the evolution of the killing.

According to the audio recording, Khashoggi was surprised by the presence of former Saudi intelligence officer Maher al-Matrib who killed him along with the rest of the assassination team inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

“You will return to Saudi Arabia,” Maher al-Matrib said, “You can’t do that, there’s someone waiting for me outside the building,” Khashoggi replayed.

The details mention that during cutting Khashoggi’s body and the actor suggested to the rest of the team to listen to the music if disturbed by the chopping sound.

The source confirmed that Turkey had provided Washington and Riyadh with a sound copy, and had sent a dump to other European capitals.

The details are accurate and correspond to the testimony received by the members of the Council from CIA CIA chief Gina Hasebel, aides in the senator’s office said.

CNN  has asked Saudi officials to comment on the content of the recordings, a Saudi official said that the authorities in charge of the case reviewed the text of the recordings through the Turkish security channels, and there is no indication to make any calls.
