SANAA, Nov. 24 (YPA) – The National Syndicate of Tunisian journalists has declined the visit of Saudi crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman to Tunis next week, describing him as a real danger to peace and security in region and world, and he is as a true enemy of freedom of expression.

The syndicate sent an open letter to Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi in which it said that Ben Salman’s tour aims to clear his bloody record on the backdrop of his involvement in heinous crimes against human rights, which the latest of his crime is the assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi,

International reports indicate that Ben Salman himself was implicated in this heinous crime, according to the letter.

The union denounced Tunisia’s official stance, which is not an independent policy in the Arab region.

The syndicate expressed its shock by the Tunisian Foreign Ministry’s stance when it called for not to employing the killing of the Saudi colleague Jamal Khashoggi and “exploit this incident to target Saudi Arabia, its security and stability.”

The letter confirmed their unwillingness to give up the gains of the revolution, foremost among them the rule of law and freedom of the press and expression.

“On this basis, we basically reject the visit of the Saudi crown prince to our country, which is a flagrant attack on the principles of our revolution,” according to the letter.
