Hadi’s government prevents foreign journalists from entering Yemen

ADEN, Nov. 21 (YPA) – The government of the exiled president Hadi have prevented foreign journalists from entering the southern port city of Aden and other Yemeni provinces for no clear reason, an official told Yemen Press Agency on Wednesday.

“The Ministry of Information in Hedi’s government has stopped issuing permits to foreign journalists who intend to visit Yemen,” the official said.

The ministry’s decision was taken on orders of Saudi-led coalition countries, according to a source at the ministry.

According to observers, the move aimed to cover up the humanitarian disasters caused by the government and the coalition in Yemen, where millions of citizens suffer from the war led by the coalition countries and many civilians lost their lives as a result of the coalition bombing.

Journalists considered such decision an assault on the press freedom, in addition to preventing media from conveying the suffering of the people to the world.
