Thousands of Hodeidah residents celebrate Prophet’s birth anniversary

HODEIDAH, Nov. 20 (YPA) – Thousands of citizens in the western port city of Hodeidah on Tuesday celebrated the anniversary of Prophet Mohammed’s birth amid unprecedented crowd.

“The city has never seen such interaction and unprecedented crowds of the citizens to celebrate the occasion,” Yemen Press Agency’s correspondent said.

The participants said they wanted to send a message through the crowd in the celebration square to the “aggression forces” says “there is no place in Hodeidah for followers of Zionists from the occupiers and mercenaries.

Several of citizens said that they inherited the celebration of the prophet’s birth from their ancestors. They said that the city of Zabid, south of Hodeidah province, was in the past periods a destination of people from various parts of Yemen to celebrate the occasion.
