4 people killed in Daesh attack in southern Libya

SANAA, Oct. 29 (YPA) – Four people were killed, including the son of the head of the branch of the fuqaha area, on Monday after an armed attack carried out by the organization “Daesh” in the town of fuqaha, alocal council in the southern Jafra region said in a statement.

The statement noted that the head of the municipal branch of fuqaha area sent an urgent appeal to all the army forces to hunt down and eliminate them.

The statement added, a number of 25 armed mechanisms were exited from the area of fuqaha, belong to the Daesh militants,  after terrorizing the population and the burning of some houses and the abduction of a number of young people.

The attack comes a week after the Libyan army arrested one of the organization’s prominent Libyan leaders, Jumaa al-Qarqai, near the same area.
