Indonesian passenger plane with 188 on board crashes into ocean

SANAA, Oct. 29 (YPA) – A passenger plane with 188 people on board crashed into the sea on Monday morning, shortly after takeoff from Jakarta on an internal flight, the Indonesian authorities said.

“The plane crashed into the sea at a depth of 30 to 40 meters,” the spokesman for the Indonesian search and rescue agency Yusuf Latif told AFP, adding that  “We are still searching  for the remains of the plane.”

The plane, a Boeing 737 MAX 8 that carrying at least 188 people, “they are 178 adults, one child, two infants, two pilots, and five crew hosts has crashed “, he added.
