FM, WFP official discuss humanitarian situation

SANAA, Oct. 28 (YPA) – Foreign Minister, Hisham Sharaf Abdullah,  discussed on Saturday  with WFP Resident Representative. Stephen Anderson, the humanitarian situation in Yemen.

During the meeting, the official discussed the activities of the program, ways to enhance it and facilitate the operations of the program and the provision of its needs in light of the expansion of areas targeted and the high number of people in need of urgent humanitarian assistance as a result of aggression and siege, especially in the province of Hodeidah after the escalation of coalition’s forces for months.

The WFP Resident Representative appreciated the role played by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in facilitating the work of the Program.

Anderson pointed out that there are some difficulties facing the work of the program in light of the failure to complete the procedures of some of the requirements of the program to facilitate the movement of workers and the continuation of its activities in many areas.
